‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign in India: CM Shivraj Singh of MP expects huge participation

On 31st July, 2022 (Sunday), Shivraj Singh, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, addressed the people of Madhya Pradesh, reminding them that the tricolor is India’s symbol of pride, patriotism and honor. So, he urged the residents of the state to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and make it a major success.

What is the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign?

Har Ghar Tiranga’ Abhiyan, a significant project under “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”, will take place from 13th Aug, 2022 to 15th Aug, 2022 in Madhya Pradesh. The main motto of the campaign is to ensourage Indian citizens to bring the flag of India, the National Flag home and hoist it with pride to celebrate India’s 75th Independence Day.

The public’s relationship with the flag is not personal but institutional and formal. Hoisting the flag at home in the presence of family members will thus help people establish a personal connection with the tiranga. They will feel more committed to act in favor of nation-building. What better occasion to strengthen our bond with the National Flag than on the 75th Independence Day? So, the main idea behind the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative is to rekindle patriotic feelings in the hearts of Indians and to increase awareness about the National Flag.

Shivraj Singh has instructed all district collectors of the state to make sure the campaign is a huge success and for this, maximum people need to actively participate in the campaign. The State Cooperation Department is urging people to support the nation-wide campaign by spreading unity and nationalism.

Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is not just for the inhabitants of Madhya Pradesh. PM Narendra Modi has requested all citizens residing in different parts of India to make it a mass movement by displaying the flag at home and putting tricolor as social media profile pictures.

After the Madhya Pradesh government, the Maharashtra government, the Delhi government and several other states are encouraging people to hoist the tiranga in their homes and housing societies on 15th August in support of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative.
