Goodbye is a popular movie cast by Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Rashmika Mandanna, Ashish Vidyarthi, Pavail Gulati, Eli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, Shivin Narang, Abhishekh Khan and directed by Vikas Bahl. Goodbye movie is all about a Chandigarh family who have scattered to the winds after learning about the death of a favorite family member, each in their way. The movie also shows what happens when they come back to the empty house again. It shows that the spirit of the dead person stays inside the house.

The two popular films’ Ramprasad Ki Terhvin’ and ‘Pagglait’ were made on the same topic that discussed the joint families in small towns. In Goodbye you will not get any such Chandigarh vibe, only a few sardars, and a bunch of mourners who sound Punjabi are present in tg movie. We have seen in the movie that three sons, a daughter, an aunt, a grandfather, and the grieving husband are completely shattered after losing his dear wife.
Goodbye is generally an uneasy combination of genres, tragi-comedy, broad humour, and heavy-handed sentimentality which is successful as soon as the emotion swims to the top without any belabouring. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Harish who has lost his wife Gayatri played by Neena Gupta. An extreme warmth is there between the two.
The critics are saying that Gayatri could have been in the movie a little longer. Bachchan as a father trying to raise the same intimacy amongst his children. The siblings find this death as the inevitable thing that comes with age. The humour around mourning is not so interesting, rather it is annoying. Sunil Grover plays the role of the ‘modern-day’ pandit at Haridwar very well. The relationship between a old man and a younger woman and the way they found each other attracts the attention of the audience.
